More Handbag Loveliness

My lovely partner HippieKender recieved her package the other day so I can show you all the lovelies I made for her. First up.... The Bag.I used a pattern by Keyka-Lou. She makes great handbag and accessories patterns that are easy to use and quick to put together. This took me a night of sewing. I used really heavy interfacing to give the bag some body and make it nice and sturdy. The fabric is from spotlight and is called ripp-stop, I don't think it was a nylon though, it felt more cottonish. It has a grid pattern woven into the actual fabric so it has a lovely texture as well. I love the colours!
Inside Pockets....A matching book/bag tote.MP3 cosie, notebook cover and beaded zippy pouch.Close up of beading.I was so thankful that everything arrived quickly but more importantly safely. I have heard so many stories of things going missing. So the anxious wait is over and I am so happy that Steph loved everything that I made.
I haven't done beading for ages and forgot how much I actually enjoy it so I will have to think of some ways to incorporate it into my future projects.

On an entirely different note SEWMAMASEW is having a givea way day this week. Head over to the BLOG for details.
I was hoping to have something to giveaway but I haven't got my act together. Maybe next round. But I will be having lots of fun blog hopping and enetering as many of the giveaways as I can.
Have a great day,
Mel

  2. We had a busy 3-day weekend and I brought my new purse with me everywhere. It's perfect! It's not too big and still fits everything inside. Everyone complimented the purse and I told them it was "handmade and imported from Australia" hehehe. Thanks so much again, you did an amazing job!
    Have a nice day,
    Stephanie
